Andrew Morrisby

Andrew Morrisby is a musical director, choral director, and freelance musician based in Hobart, Tasmania. After completing a BMus in classical piano at the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music, Andrew has worked in many different musical genres, ranging through classical, jazz, rock, funk, gospel, folk, and improvised music.
Andrew is heavily involved with the musical theatre community in Hobart, working with many companies over the past decade. Most recent credits include Musical Director for “Shane Warne the Musical” (The Cabaret Club 2021), “The Old Man and the Old Moon” (Jack Lark Presents 2021), and Repetiteur for “The Rocky Horror Show” (John X Presents 2021). He is a member of improvisation group Practitioners of the Ephemeral Arts and participated in the inaugural Hobart’s Festival of Improvised Theatre (April 2022), and played for the Hobart run of “Jack and Gin” (May 2022). Andrew works as a private teacher, tutor, and accompanist in Hobart.
