Grace Ovens

Grace is a graduate of the Tasmanian Conservatorium of Music where she studied a Bachelor of Music with Honours. In addition to performing as a soloist and private voice teaching, Grace enjoys conducting the singers of the TYO Junior Chorale. Concert highlights include Handel’s Messiah, Schubert Mass in G Major, Beethoven’s 9th Symphony, Dvorak’s Te Deum, Handel’s Dixit Dominus, Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle, The Barbarians, Bellow: Ten Days on the island, Grace Ovens Unplugged: Festival of Voices, Dark Mofo, MONA FOMA. Grace’s Musical Theatre highlights include Into the Woods (Rapunzel), Les Miserables (Cossette), The Hatpin (Amber), Iolanthe (Phyllis), A Little Night Music (Anne), Phantom of The Opera (Meg). Grace will appear as soprano soloist in the upcoming Secret Orchestral Society’s performance of Mahler’s Symphony No. 2 in C Minor (Resurrection Symphony), and in Handel’s Messiah at St David’s Cathedral in December.
