Dominique Baker

Dominique has operated a private music studio since 1995 after having taught music in high schools for nine years. During this time she has also accompanied acclaimed youth choir Crescendo, including performances at Government House, Hobart and on tour to England and Austria. She has been Musical Director for many Devonport Choral Society productions, and currently serves as Musical Director of Latrobe Federal Youth Band and Crescendo Music Hub (supported by the Tasmanian Education Department). She enjoys regularly working as a collaborative pianist with both instrumentalists and vocalists, and especially with her trio, Trio al Dente. Dominique teaches piano students of all ages, from beginners through to diploma level, and is especially dedicated to fostering confidence in performing, effective practice techniques, sound musical literacy and a strong personal connection to the music.
